Every consultation submitted at Celsia Skin is reviewed by a suitably qualified member of our skincare team before any consultation-only product is approved — not an algorithm, and not a sales target.
How our team is qualified
Our reviewers are trained specifically on the medical-grade brands we stock as an authorised UK retailer, including each brand's official protocols, contraindications and correct order of use — from high-strength retinoids to professional peels. Training is refreshed as brands update their guidance, so recommendations stay current.
What our review process checks
When you submit a consultation, our team reviews your answers against the product you're interested in — checking things like whether you're new to a particular active, any relevant skin sensitivities you've flagged, and whether the strength requested is a sensible starting point. Where something doesn't look right, we'll suggest a better-suited alternative rather than simply declining you.
Why we don't push products
We're trained on the brands we sell, but recommendations are led by your skin and goals, not by margins — we'd rather recommend the right product, including a lower-strength option or a different brand entirely, than the most expensive one. See our About Celsia Skin page for more on how the business is run.
Working alongside your GP or dermatologist
Our consultation is a product-suitability check for skincare, not a medical diagnosis. If you have a diagnosed skin condition or a medical concern, please see a GP or dermatologist — our team can still help you choose skincare that fits safely alongside that care. For general skin health information, the NHS and the British Skin Foundation are both reliable independent resources.
